Donations

Where does my donation go?+

By default, contributions are credited to the State Program Account. If you select a school before payment, your contribution is credited to that school’s SMC (School Management Committee) Account instead.

What does choosing a need do?+

It sets the amount you give. Choosing needs tells us what a school has asked for, but funds are not earmarked against individual items. The school’s SMC decides how the funds are utilized based on priority.

Can I donate to a specific school?+

Yes. You can search for any government school by name, village, mandal, or district. Once you find the school, you can donate directly to it.

Is there a minimum donation amount?+

There is no fixed minimum. You can contribute any amount you wish. Every contribution, big or small, helps improve school infrastructure.

Can organizations or corporates donate?+

Yes. Organizations, corporates, and CSR initiatives are welcome to contribute.

Is my donation tax-deductible?+

Tax benefits depend on the applicable provisions under the Income Tax Act. Please consult your tax advisor for specific guidance.

School Needs & Infrastructure

What kind of needs can I fund?+

Schools list needs across multiple categories including classrooms, toilets and sanitation, drinking water, labs and equipment, digital infrastructure, playgrounds, libraries, electrical infrastructure, furniture, and more.

How are the costs determined?+

The estimated costs are based on standard government rates prescribed by the Department of School Education.

Who decides what a school needs?+

Can I donate physical items instead of money?+
